Nicholas Kaos has founded the Hodinian Imperial Party. Its goal is to turn Hodiny peacefully into an Imperial Duchy.

I'll give some more facts, as I am the chairman.
Political Stance: Central
Promotes: As well as an Imperial Duchy, we promote expanding Hodiny's borders at a rapid rate. We also (Forgot to mention this to Duke Dylan) promote an independence movement for Hodiny as soon as possible.

Culture is a major contribution to independence. This is why Catalonia and Quebec would have a reasoned independence movement. This may even lead to it. If we can separate the culture in Hodiny enough from American territories outlying it. This is just a step in a large plan that is still under construction.

When (not if) Hodiny is independent, we plan on being a culture hub for anyone, with 80s music constantly playing from speakers in the roads, and a very noticeable German culture implemented as well.

What specifically does making the Duchy an Imperial Duchy signify? Our quest for greater territory?

Yes, it would signify the quest for more territory. But the definition of an empire is also to introduce new technology and culture to their newly conquered territory. If Hodiny were to become an Imperial Duchy, constantly conquering territories, this culture shall be introduced into them.
